Destination Paradise: Tropical nuptials followed by return reception

Our Flora D’ Amore team had a blast this past weekend at the West Coast’s largest wedding expo, the Seattle Wedding Show.  We love talking to excited brides-to-be about their big day!

A number of this year’s brides are planning destination weddings in tropical locations, the perfect escape from our frosty winter here. Can you blame them?  What is more amazing than watching the sunset over tropical paradise on your wedding day?

Destination weddings however, do have their downfalls. The inability for those to travel, take time off work, etc. That is why we’re seeing an influx of clients who plan to have an intimate destination wedding followed by a large reception with their family and friends that complement their tropical nuptials.

We have a number of receptions this year and wanted to inspire you with a couple of arrangements from our Design Center and other inspiration we’ve found around the web.

What are you planning on doing for your big day? Do you like the idea of having an intimate wedding followed by a more grand reception upon your return?

Getting married in the near future and looking for the perfect florist to compliment your taste? No event is too intimate or grand for our team. Visit us online,  by phone, 425.339.2419 or through e-mail,!

Our Booth at the Northwest Bridal Showcase at Tulalip Casino

Today is our day to set-up our Flora D’ Amore by Stadium Flowers booth. We are excited to showcase a bright orange and yellow palette contrasted with lush green and grayed jade accents.  Not only are we decorating our booths with stunning bouquets, but we have lots of contemporary ideas for centerpieces and eye-catching displays.  We are using a balance of soft whimsical blooms, such as fragrant garden roses and ranunculus, and funky tropicals like anthurium and protea.

One of our favorite displays, as well as most popular, is our black candelabras. All on their own, they are tall and dramatic with draping crystals, but we take them one step further by topping them with a full arrangement of gorgeous blooms. We are also creating another bold look with a little more sparkle and a little less height. They are clear glass cylinders filled with assorted sizes of crystals that glimmer when they are lit up by LED lights that are hidden in the bottom.  Those too are topped off with a full, round arrangement of flowers to complete the look.

We don’t want to give too much away, but we have lots more to show you. You will have to stop by our booth #403 and visit us! Don’t miss our eye-catching showpieces and bouquets at the fashion show, too. See you this weekend!
